4.  Removing carpet stains

Put equal parts white vinegar and waster into a spray bottle and spray mixture directly on to the stain.  Leave for a few minutes then rub gently with a brush or sponge and warm soapy water.

It is always easiest to deal with carpet stains while they are wet.  Once the stain sets life becomes much more difficult so act fast!

If the vinegar and water doesn’t work you can try a mixture of equal amounts of salt, borax and vinegar mixed to a paste.  Rub the paste into the stain and leave to dry.  After a few hours vacuum.

 

 

5.  Disinfecting Wooden Chopping Boards

Wood can harbor a lot of bugs.  To disinfect wooden chopping boards rub half a lemon, cut side down over the surface.  Let the juice soak in then wipe clean.

6.  Removing tea and coffee stains from cups and mugs

Soak a sponge in vinegar and use to wipe stained areas.
